Am I too old for sex?

Q: Dear Myrtle,

I am 65, my wife is 60. For the past two years she has lost all interest in sex whatsoever. She does not even want to talk about it. And she expects me to do without also. Well, guess what ... I still like it, want it, and by damn I'm going to get it somewhere.

She said that nobody our age should care anything about sex, and that I should start acting my age. So what do you think?

Signed,
Never Too Old

A: Dear Never,

If that's the tone you take with your wife when you try to discuss sex, it's no wonder she won't talk to you about it. You sound like she's subjecting you to some sort of marital torture. Granted, it may feel that way, but try to keep in mind that women often lose interest in sex after menopause.

So, instead of blaming your wife and threatening her with infidelity, try discussing the problem with her calmly and rationally. You can even call your family physician and ask if there's a medical solution to the problem.

And lay off the Viagra.

Is there life without foreplay?

Q: Dear Myrtle,

I want to know how I could better my love life with my new girlfriend with out the foreplay.

Fore's a crowd

A: Dear Crowd,

If your girlfriend requires oxygen, she requires foreplay.

Unless, of course, the oxygen is required to inflate her.
