Q: mrs mad myrtle how do i keep from making my g/f mad tell me some ways to keep out of the doghouse if u could give some ideas how to keep from making my girl mad tell me.

A: You don't need love advice, you need grammar advice.

And the best way to keep your girlfriend from getting mad is to stop pissing her off.

Q: Dear Myrtle,

My nephew has lived with this woman for over 5 years and they have a 5 yr old daughter. They have decide to get married, by having a big one, with 3 showers too. My question is, is it proper for them to expect all the guest to buy them shower and wedding gifts?

I could see it if they had never lived together and needed help to set up a house but come one!

Curious Aunt

A: Dear Curious.

If they've been shacking up for over 5 years, AND have a kid together, then in the eyes of the law they're already married. All they're doing is formalizing it.

Frankly, I think they should just go to the courthouse and get married. If your own kid is the flower girl, you probably shouldn't have the big church wedding. They definitely shouldn't have three showers.

It sounds like they're getting married JUST to get the presents.

If you want to give them a gift, feel free. But, no one owes them any gifts. And they certainly have no right to expect them.

No matter how many showers they have.
